SEO Tips For Your Company

As a business, it’s important to focus on SEO in order to get ahead. While it used to just be about keyword stuffing, it’s now a lot more complex and if you want to be seen on search engines you need to ensure you have a Search Engine Optimization plan. There are many elements to SEO and while it might sound technical, when you break it down it’s not as bad as it sounds. No matter if you are a freelance photographer or a company that sells commercial refrigeration equipment, as soon as you start implementing a strong SEO strategy you will start to see an improvement. Here we have put together a few SEO tips for your company that should help get you off the ground. Remember you can always hire an SEO company to help you out, but it’s best to do what you can if you don’t have as much cash to spare.

Optimize your website

Too many people don’t have a website that’s optimized and it is negatively impacting their presence on search engines. Make sure that your site runs as quickly as possible and has a good page speed. You need to also add in the relevant metadata to the back end for every single page or blog post that tells Google what your site is about. Add in page information, categorize well and internally link your posts to each other for maximum success.

Focus on becoming an expert in your niche

If Google sees you as viewed as an expert by others, then you are more likely to have a higher domain authority and be placed higher on search results. If you are looking to improve the SEO of your company, write articles about your niche and have these published elsewhere and linked back to your site. This will show you are an expert in your field and you are more likely to be trusted.

Ensure your images are all optimized

Many people forget the importance of images, but you need to be aware of how important they are. Ensure that when you upload images to your site they are not too big – the ideal size is around 250kb or less. Any more and it can slow your site right down which can have a negative impact. Also be sure to fill in all the image data such as the alt tags, descriptions, and other metadata that might be needed. You always need at least one image per page or article in order to help rank on search engines.
These are just a few top tips that should help you to soon make an improvement to your website. Be sure to keep an eye on your domain authority through websites such as Moz as this can give you an indicator if your website is working as it should do and how well your strategy is going.
